Sichelschmidt
Sichelschmidt GmbH was founded in 1914 by the brothers Carl and Walter Sichelschmidt. The main area of responsibility at the beginning was the production of stamped parts and locks. Out of the need to simplify internal material transport, Sichelschmidt also manufactured transport equipment such as sack and barrel lifters. In 1931, an open trading company was created for the distribution and manufacture of lifting equipment and transport equipment . From the 1950s onwards, it relied on battery-powered industrial trucks and increasingly developed special vehicles. Today, the Sichelschmidt company is one of the leading manufacturers of special vehicles such as four-way forklifts, offshore forklifts and explosion-proof forklifts, but normal forklifts are also still part of the range.
