Jungheinrich is one of the most successful manufacturers of forklifts, shelving systems and forklift accessories. The business founder Friedrich Jungheinrich opened the H. Jungheinrich & Co. Maschinenfabrik in Hamburg on August 7, 1953. With the first branch in Austria, Jungheinrich took the first step towards establishing itself internationally in 1956. In 1958 the company headquarters and factory opened in Hamburg-Wandsbek. The manufacturer of forklift accessories bought, among others, the Boss and Steinbock Group. 

The foreign production facilities in France, Great Britain and Spain were then closed again and production was relocated to Germany. The group brands MIC, Steinbock and Boss were then given up in 2002 and since then devices have only been sold under the company name Jungheinrich. A frequently used synonym for hand or electric pallet trucks is the name “Ant”, which is a registered trademark of Jungheinrich Profishop.

Jungheinrich was named “Innovator of the Year 2018” and was able to demonstrate its market strength and quality standards with other awards such as the “German Award”, “DEKRA Award” and the “Manufacturing Excellence Award”.

At the turn of the millennium, the brand offered its products exclusively under the Jungheinrich name. The company is continually expanding the areas of infralogistics, financial services and full service. To this end, Jungheinrich is positioning itself sustainably in globalized markets and strengthening its sales units.
